Walnut Theatre Location

Walnut Theatre sits at 24 S. Walnut Street in downtown Brazil, a stage with roots going back over a century. The current building opened in 1948 after fire destroyed the original theatre on the same site the year before, and it's remained a downtown gathering spot for the community ever since.
Amplify the Arts, Inc. is a local nonprofit on a mission to bring affordable, high-quality entertainment to the community, giving Clay County a reason to skip the drive to a bigger city and enjoy a night out close to home.
